Our microschool offers a hands-on, heart-centered approach to K-5 education for children who thrive outside the box and outside the classroom. We cater to families seeking more than just worksheets and standardized tests. Through our holistic, project-based approach, we blend nature-based education, gentle guidance, and authentic connection to help children grow into confident, capable, and compassionate humans.
Chicory School is a private microschool that offers a supportive educational environment for K-5 education. Our mixed-age community classroom caters to children from 5 to 10 years old, with class size ranging from 6 to 12 students and a 1:5 teacher to student ratio. Nestled on a private homestead property, we provide ample outdoor adventuring space alongside our cozy one-room schoolhouse.
At Chicory School, our core curriculum is inspired by the cyclical patterns of each season, integrating real-world, hands-on lessons that seamlessly cover all aspects of K-5 education. Each season's curriculum is thoughtfully designed, offering open-ended learning experiences that cater to all students and tailored to each child’s academic level.
At Chicory School, projects are designed to challenge students, helping them learn new skills and wisdom rooted in traditional knowledge while engaging meaningfully with their environment and peers.
